8th Investiture Ceremony

The Investiture Ceremony of St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikas Puri for the academic session 2014-15 was held on 31st July 2014 in a special ceremony in the school premises. The event witnessed the presence of Honourable Chairman Sir Prof Sewa Singh. Eminent educationist Mr. C B Bharadwaj, Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra, Director of the school Mr. Saroop Singh and Vice-principal Inderpreet Kaur. It was conducted with the highest degree of sincerity and enthusiasm.
The Investiture Ceremony denotes investment in being leaders and the trust as well as confidence one reposes in the newly invested office bearers for the involvement of the student’s community in day today functioning of the school, since the school believes in child centric approach.
The ceremony was held with lots of enthusiasm and gusts. It was initiated with the prayer ‘Make a channel of your peace’ sung by the music choir of the school. A motivational song ‘Join on sunshine - chanda suraj lakhon taare’ was sung beautifully by the school choir students. The Scottish dance performance by students mesmerized the audience with their graceful and full of life movements. The students were made aware of the unique election process that takes place from Class VI to XII familiarizing them on how democracy works in the country. The class V members are nominated and selected on the basis of discipline, academics and behavior so that they can be role models to their fellow schoolmates.
The newly elected student council took an oath in front of the gathering of invited guests to be true to their posts and duties assigned to them.
The parents of Head Boy Lakshay Lamba and the Head Girl Pratiksha Malhotra shared their thoughts as the students took on this esteemed responsibility. The office bearers were encouraged by the motivational speech of our Chairman Sir Prof Sewa Singh. He congratulated the leaders of tomorrow and inspired them to achieve new milestones. Madam Principal Mrs. R Bhumra acclaimed the newly elected council members. She encouraged them to lead and tread on the path of progress. Ms. Pooja S Mathur, Convenor and Sr.Co-ordinator expressed gratitude towards school management for their futuristic vision to exalt the ideology of holistic development. It was a memorable day for St. Cecilia’s Public School.
