Curriculum and Assessment for classes IX-X
Subjects offered:
ENGLISH, HINDI, MATHS, SCIENCE, SOCIAL SCIENCE, SANSKRIT, PUNJABI, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY,HEALTH CARE, MUSIC & DANCE, ART & CRAFT, PHYSICAL EDUCATION
EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT :
CLASS - IX
· Each session will have 2 cycles of weekly Test, 3 periodic Test (Pre Mid Term, Mid Term and Post Mid Term), Half Yearly Exam and Final Exam for scholastic areas.
· 5% weightage will be given to Periodic Tests, 5% to Multiple Assessment, 5% to Notebook submission, 5% to subject enrichment activities, 30% to Half Yearly Exam and and 50% to Final Exam.
· Three activities and Three Multiple Assessments for each subject will be assessed.
· Average of best two will be taken for the calculation of periodic tests and subject enrichment activities.
· Pre Mid Term will include 30% syllabus, Mid Term 50% syllabus , Post Mid Term 75% syllabus and Final Exam 100% syllabus.
· Maximum marks for each weekly test will be 25; Pre Mid Term 40; Mid Term, Post Mid Term and Final Exam 80.
· Marks as well as Grades will be awarded in the Report card.
· Grading pattern for Scholastic areas is as follows:

· Co-scholastic areas will include Work Education, Art Education and Health & Physical Education. Grading on Co-scholastic areas will be done on 5 point grading scale A- E.
· The students will also be assessed for the discipline based on attendance, sincerity, behavior, values, uniform, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others. Grading on Discipline will be done on 5 point grading scale A-E.
· It is compulsory for the students to appear in all the Weekly Tests, Periodic Tests and Final Exam.
In class IX, a student must secure atleast 33% in all the subjects and a minimum of 25% marks in each subject in Annual Exam.
CLASS - X
· Each session will have 2 cycles of weekly Test, 3 periodic Test (Pre Mid Term, Mid Term and Post Mid Term), Pre Board and Final Exam for scholastic areas.
· Board Exam(Final) will be conducted by CBSE.
5% weightage will be given to Periodic Tests, 5% to Multiple Assessment, 5% to Notebook submission, 5% to subject enrichment activities and 80% to Board Exam.
· Three activities and three Multiple Assessments for each subject will be assessed.
· Average of best two will be taken for the calculation of periodic tests and subject enrichment activities.
· Pre Mid Term will include 30% syllabus, Mid Term 60% syllabus , Post Mid Term 90% syllabus, Pre-Board and Final Exam 100% syllabus.
· Maximum marks for each weekly test will be 25; Pre Mid Term 40; Mid Term, Post Mid Term Pre Board and Final Exam 80.
· Marks as well as Grades will be awarded in the Report card.

· A student must secure 33% marks in internal and external examination separately in order to qualify for next class.
