The students of St. Cecilia’s Public School paid tribute to the architect of Indian Constitution Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on 13th April 2012. The students enacted glimpses from the life of the great man to celebrate his birthday. The dramatic presentation and role play of the Cecilians showcased the dedication of the leader for the upliftment of the deprived section of the society. The students also presented a skit to depict one of the life experiences from Dr. Ambedkar’s life that made him a tough person and inspired him to fight against untouchability. On this occasion Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra also addressed the students with her motivating memorial speech on Dr. Ambedkar. She revered the famous scholar and mentioned his stays in United States and England to pursue higher studies, where he earned a law degree and multiple doctorates for his study and research in Law, Economics and Political Science. The students were inspired by the noble deeds of the leader and pledged to uphold equality for all sections of Indian masses.
