St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikaspuri solemnly celebrated its Annual Day on 18th December 2013. The vibrant atmosphere was palpable even before the programme began. Enthusiastic children were seen in vibrant colourful attire and costumes. it was a grand celebration which saw the little stars twinkle on the ground. Many eminent dignitaries including Presiding Guest Ms. Kunti Aswal, Dy. Director of Education (Science), Special Guests Ms. Paramjit Kaur, Dy Education Officer Distt. West Zone 18, Ms. Rekha Katoch SPE, Sh. H.K. Pandey, Former Education Officer, Chairman Prof. Sewa Singh, Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra, VIP invitees,parents and well wishers made a grand audience on this occasion. The event opened with the lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries at 11:30 a.m. The Presiding Guest Ms. Kunti Aswal in her enlightening message enumerated the educative system of St.Cecilia’s Public School. Special Guest Sh. H.K. Pandey congratulated and applauded the Cecilian supernovas for their skyrocketing achievements. Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra read out the annual report showcasing the prominent events, scholastic and co-scholastic activities of the school during the academic year 2012-13, not only at the school and inter school level but also at the zonal and national level. A total of almost 800 students from Prep Daffodils to class XII presented an enthralling panaroma of cultural programmes.
Appreciating the conducive learning environment and excellent infrastructure of the school Chairman Prof. Sewa Singh addressed the august gathering motivating the parents to strengthen school – home connection and environment.
A mesmerizing cultural show with full on participation of students grabbed the attention of the audience. From tiny toddlers to teenyboppers, the festive event encouraged, rewarded and gave opportunity to all to show their excellence.The students resplendent in various costumes enraptured the audience with their message driven cultural programme.
Performances like martial arts, cultural dances - Shaan Vakhri(bhangra), Dhol Baaje, Riga dance, We are all together , Ecstasy (contemporary dance), Fantasia(Aerobics and Karate) were nothing but subtle manifestations of the holistic human growth the students are receiving under the shade of Cecilian tree.
The day was an encapturing on zealous memory in Cecilian history.
