BEST OUT OF WASTE

No waste is produced in nature. Waste from one natural activity is the raw material for other, thus balancing the flow of material in a sustainable way. However, anthropogenic waste is big environmental hazard. It has been a cause of concern for the countries and the problem has aggravated in the past few decades. Delhi alone is producing six to seven thousand tones of solid waste every day, of which only a very small percentage is recycled, causing immense pressure on the land-fills (waste disposal sites). Disposal of waste has always posed a challenge to us. The only way to reduce the menace of waste is to remember and practice the policy of 4R’s - Reduce, Reuse Recycle and Recover.

Students of class IX and X of St. Cecilia’s Public School, show cased creative ways of reusing waste materials by preparing beautiful objects on Monday, October 19, 2015 in the school premises, thus fostering the habit of Reusing the materials so as to reduce the bulk of garbage produced and using them in a creative way.
