Career Counselling Workshop on Study Abroad in Canada
On 21st April 2016, St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikas Puri in hands with Canadian University Application Centre hosted a career counselling workshop on studying abroad in Canada for Class XII students of Science and Commerce Stream. The spokesperson for the day Ms. Victoria Rissling, Representative from MacEwan University, Edmonton, Alberta addressed more than 100 students regarding studying in Canada and making it their second home.
Ms. Rissiling briefed the students about the education system and future career prospects for international students in Canada. The MacEwan University offered a wide range of over 100 diploma/degree and certificate courses for the students. The diversified fields of study, small range class size, personalized interaction with professors are some of the salient specialities of the university. The students were also informed about the visa process and the admission procedure for the coming admissions in 2017. The students were very happy to know about the provision of various scholarships for international students. She also told the students that Canada is an affordable stay as compared to many international study destinations. The students were also guided about various programmes that offer full time work experience along with regular studies.
The students were infused with a hope of making their dream of international studies possible. Ms. Anusaya Bose, Manager(Admissions), CUAC also spoke to the students encouraging them to visit the upcoming Education Fair in them month of June in Delhi. The students also got an opportunity for one to one interaction with the spoke persons to ask their queries. Madam Vice-Principal Mrs. Inderpreet Kaur also graced the workshop with her presence. She also encouraged the students to strive further for good accomplishments in Canada. She also thanked the guests for mentoring the students.
