CAREER COUNSELLING WORKSHOP

The school organised a comprehensive and highly informative Career Counselling workshop for the students of Class XII on 17 December 2025. The session was conducted by the esteemed resource person, Mr. Vidhur Sharma, an accomplished academician holding degrees in B.Sc. Mathematics and M.A. History, bringing rich academic insight and practical understanding to the session.

The workshop commenced with a detailed introduction to the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), its purpose, structure, and significance in the current higher education system. The primary agenda of the session was to prepare students for CUET and to guide them on cracking interviews for admission to various universities.

Strategies were discussed to help students understand the examination blueprint; however, they were advised not to blindly follow it. Instead, the concept of the “learn and unlearn” technique was introduced, encouraging flexibility, conceptual clarity, and adaptability in preparation.

The session further emphasised on the language domain, highlighting the need for strong command over language skills. Career mapping was introduced as a crucial tool to help students gain clarity about universities, courses, and future pathways.

Mr. Sharma stressed that nearly 90% of the CUET syllabus and entrance exam content is based on NCERT textbooks, and students were advised to rely only on authentic sources and official websites for accurate information.

The session included discussions on various undergraduate courses open to students from Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams, such as B.Tech, BFI, BMS, BBA, BBE, along with factual information about universities offering these programmes. Several frequently asked questions were addressed to clear common misconceptions, including previous years’ cut-offs.

Respected Madam Principal’s inputs were highly impactful as students gained confidence from ma’am’s thoughtful advice and support.

Overall, the workshop was detailed and structured. It provided students with in-depth knowledge, clarity, and practical guidance, enabling them to recognize their potential, strengthen their capabilities, and make informed decisions for their future academic and career pursuits.
