The Investiture Ceremony for the year 2013 was held on Friday 26th July in school precincts. The arrival of the Chief Guests Chairman Prof. Sewa Singh, I T Head Mr. Saroop Singh, Mr. H.K. Pandey Retd. Education Officer Zone West and Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra triggered the ceremony.
The programme started by seeking the blessings of Goddess Gayatri by the choir. The newly elected council members marched brightly and majestically in sync with the beating of the drums to the auditorium for the proceedings.
Convenor Mrs. Mukta Kalra welcomed the guests. The newly appointed council members were honoured with their badges and sashes. Wherein the council administered the oath of allegiance where by the new council promised to discharge their duties honestly, sincerely and to the best of their ability.
Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra addressed the gathering and said that change is the law of nature, the old order yields place to the new. Investiture Ceremony is that occasion where all as a school respect and acknowledge the upcoming leaders and repose trust in them.
It is a defining moment for the newly elected where the school entrusts responsibilities on the young leaders to uphold the values of the school and to keep the school flag flying high while discharging their duties honestly and impartially.
Chairman Prof Sewa Singh introduced Shubham Kaushal, the Head Boy for the year 2013 and did the honour of badging him. I T Head Mr. Saroop Singh badged the Head Girl, Simran Shaw for the year 2013. In his enlightening address Chairman Prof. Sewa Singh said that the quality of leadership must be reflected in the standards, the council members set for themselves, they must be firm but approachable.
The students of Tapping Feet Dance Group presented a sizzling Salsa Performance. The vote of thanks was proposed by convenor Ms. Pooja S. Mathur.
The function concluded with the National Anthem.
