Glimpses of my Country: India

On 4th October 2024, St. Cecilia’s Public School hosted a vibrant and captivating event titled “Glimpses of my Country: India”, showcasing India’s rich history, its struggle for independence, and its remarkable progress in science and technology. The event aimed to take the audience on a journey through Pre- independent India to Post independent India, celebrating the spirit of the nation.

The event began with the arrival of the Guest of Honor, Madam Manager Ms. R. Bhumra, Madam Principal Ms. Inderpreeet, Academic Advisor and Primary Wing Headmistress. It was an honor to have the parents of class 2 students as the audience. This was followed by the sapling welcome of the dignitaries and a soulful prayer. Madam Manager and Madam Principal shared insightful words about India’s journey and the role of education in shaping the future of the country. Their inspiring speeches were directed not only at the students but also at the parents, encouraging them to support their children’s holistic development.

The highlight of the event was the enthusiastic participation of class 2 that through immense energy and joy to the stage through a series of colorful dance performances on songs such as ‘Give me Freedom’ and ‘Mere Desh ki Dharti’, the students vividly depicted important historical moments Inida’s cultutral diversity. Chandrayaan dance performance received a huge applause as it depicted the milestone India was recently achieved in the field of science and technology.

The event culminated with a vote of thanks presented by the primary wing Coordinator. Parents expressed their appreciation for the well- organized program.

The school is proud of the students’ dedication and hard work, and the event was a true reflection of the talent and inquisitiveness they portrayed in learning about their country.
