St. Cecilia’s Public School
Interact Club Installation Ceremony 2013-14
The Interact Club is a service organization aiming at “Service above Self”. If one wants to make the world a better place, it has to begin – here and now. Giving to those who do not have, is the greatest joy to the heart. This is what the Interactors at St. Cecilia’s have set out as their goal.
The Installation Ceremony of the new Interact Board took place at St. Cecilia’s Public School on Thursday 26th December 2013. It marks the beginning of another chapter in the life of the Interact Club. The New Board has many visions in their mission. These include Interact Exchange Programme, School Walk, School Carnival, Gift a Toy, Gift a Book, Inter Class Tournaments and Competitions, Talent Search and numerous awareness Seminars.
The Installation Ceremony commenced with the lighting of the traditional Oil Lamp and then proceeded into the Interact Pledge and invocation. Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra addressed the students and the Interactors. The Chief Guest Mr. Mukesh Arneja enlightened the Interactors and the gathering on what they should focus on. His advice to the students was of great value to motivate them into action.
The Interact Club is a young arm of the Rotary Club of Delhi South West. Once the Installation Ceremony was over with the pinning of badges on the Office Bearers, there was a cultural programme to entertain and celebrate the joyous occasion. A salsa dance – Fantasia, Folk dance – Dhol Baaje, a group patriotic song – Ae Mere Vatan stole the show. After the Vote of Thanks, there was a mingling of all students; who interacted with each other over refreshments.
These are the young ones who are going into the world to be the leaders of tomorrow. Being Interactors, definitely gives them the edge into that sphere of life – where they learn that life is a smile not only for them, but also for the less fortunate.
