‘Earth Day Celebration – Think Green, Think Clean’
On 24th April 2015, the Interact Club members of St. Cecilia’s Public School conducted special competitions to spread awareness about the need for environmental conservation to mark Earth Day celebrations. Nukkad Natak competition on the theme ‘SAVE EARTH’ was organized for class X students. More than 150 students made for an excited audience. The nukkad natak presentations focused on the dire necessity to save planet Earth and demonstrated corrective measures. Judges of the competition Mrs. Madhu Rai and Mrs. Shikha Sharma appreciated the hard work and talent of the children.
On the same day, a mass participation Mask Making competition for all students of class IX on the topic ‘ANY MASK’ was also conducted. The students used only eco-friendly material to make colourful and expressive masks. The creative best of the students was demonstrated through their beautiful ideas. Judges from the Arts Department were spellbound with the artistic venture of the students. Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra encouraged the students and motivated them to think globally and act locally to heal Planet Earth. The events spread awareness about the need to Save our Environment.
