Go green to breathe clean

Cecilians got together to walk through the neighbourhood of St. Cecilia’s Public School Vikaspuri to spread awareness about the dire necessity of an eco friendly Deepawali. More than 50 students of classes VII to XII walked with banners emphasizing the need of a green Diwali on a 1km neighbourhood route under the supervision of school teachers, staff and Delhi police officials.
Madam Principal Mrs. Inderpreet, Academic Supervisor Mr. G.P. Sharma, Co-ordinators of Middle and Senior wing opened the commencement of Anti Cracker pollution free Delhi Rally in the wake of the occasion of Deepawali and the worsening air quality in Delhi city. The students participated in the rally with whole hearted enthusiasm as they walked on the roads shouting slogans and their concerns.
The rally also witnessed the participation of young Eco Club members and Interact club members. Madam Principal applauded the endeavour of the young activists when they came back to school after lighting the neighbourhood with their worthy thoughts.
The students also rallied in the school campus to strengthen the cause of a pollution free Deepawali.
