ST. CECILIA’S PUBLIC SCHOOL
REPORT ON “GO GREEN MOVEMENT”
ORGANISED BY THE ECO CLUB, SESSION 2015-16
To inculcate a sense of responsibility and to develop qualities of constructive citizenship aiming towards conserving the environment, The Eco Club of St Cecilia’s public school, Vikaspuri has undertaken the “Go Green Movement” for the current academic session. In this endeavor the students celebrated the ‘Van mahotsava’ occasion in the month of August. An awareness campaign was initiated in the school with the aim to gather maximum participation and invoke enthusiasm in the students. Students pledged to keep their environment clean and green. The movement was further extended beyond the boundaries of the school and three Neem trees were planted outside the school premises on October 15,2015. The students selected Neem because of its pollution absorbent, air purifier and mosquito repellant properties to make an individual contribution to the community in the Go Green initiative.
