Cecilias bow in reverence to celebrate Gurupurab in a special assembly
St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikaspuri witnessed euphoric ecstasy as the school students of Classes VI-XI bowed their heads in reverence to celebrate Gurupurab in a special assembly to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji. Offering prayers to the duty, the students of classes IX-XI presented a ‘Prabhat-feri’ in the school vicinity singing spiritual hymns in the name of Guru Nanak Devji. Students then also sang ‘Shabads’ and prayed for communal harmony and peace.
Speech by class XI student Anmol was also addressed to the students highlighting the teachings of Guru Nanak Devji and the living Guru, ‘Guru Granth Sahib’ Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra also told the students about the need of peace and harmony. She told the students that God is one and we are all children of one God. ‘Kada Prasad’ was distributed to all students by the senior wing volunteers of classes IX-XI, The day culminated with a feeling of togetherness.
