Workshop on Hotel Management by Oberoi Group of Hotels
On 17th February 2016, St. Cecilia’s Public School in association with Oberoi Group of Hotels conducted a workshop on careers in hotel management for class X students to give them an insight and better understanding of various streams and careers. The workshop was conducted by resource person Chef Mr. Gaurav Prashar and Food and Beverage Head Ms. Priya Aggarwal from Oberoi Group of hotels in their initiative project ‘STEP’. They informed the students about Oberoi’s Hotel Management course and attached benefits including stipend.
The spokespersons informed the students about the strenuous working schedule as well as glamorous lifestyle of working in a reputed hotel. All departments of the hotel i.e. Kitchen, food and Beverage, Front Desk, Housekeeping were talked about to the students. The speakers also informed the students regarding eligibility criteria, assessment criteria and other pre-requisite requirement for admission in the three year diploma/ degree course. The spokespersons invited the students to their hotel to enable students to have a working knowledge of the profession. The students appreciated the workshop and interacted open heartedly with the speakers.
