Winning is a Cecilian Habit – Shining bright at ICAI
St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikas Puri bagged the first position in the Inter School across India Debate Competition organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). As a part of its Diamond Jubilee Celebrations the Institute conducted a National Debate Competition.
The competition was open to the students of Classes XI and XII. Mudit Butani of Class XII and Shubham Das of Class XI were the talented orators who mesmerized not only the jury but also the audience. Students from different parts of the country participated in the event.
ICAI is a premier professional accountancy body of the country, established in July, 1949 under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, enacted by the Parliament to regulate the profession of Accounting in India. The Institute is engaged in imparting education and training to the students.
The purpose of the debate competition was to create awareness among the students about contemporary society and changes in the world. It was also an endeavor to sensitize the students with the topical issues.
