Kai Po Che – Tricolour rules the blue sky
The tricolour flag in the backdrop of the monsoon sky flew high and mighty as more that 2000 cecilians saluted the mother country on Independence Day Celebrations in St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikaspuri. The students presented a kaleidoscopic panaroma of patriotic cultural performances.
Medleys glorifying ‘Hindustan’ and glimpses from the lives of national heroes were the showstoppers. The school campus was coloured with tricolour flags and banners across the corridors. The primary wing students donned on themselves the persona of Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Sarojini Naidu, Kasturba Bai, Jhansi Ki Rani, Bhagat Singh, Vallabh Bhai Patel and many more.Various activities like kite flying, patriotic theme based dance performance tricoloured nail art and t-shirt painting were conducted for classes VI-XII. After the flag hoisting ceremony, Madam Principal Mrs.R. Bhumra addressed the students igniting in them the zeal of patriotism and nationalistic fervour. The students were infused with motivation to make their motherland India – a world guru.
