Cecilians add color to freedom

On the 72nd Independence Day, students and staff members of St. Cecilia’s Public School celebrated its unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage. The cecilian fraternity saluted the nation with freedom in mind, faith in words and pride in heart. The school donned in tricolour and patriotic displays. The student council and various badge holders marched with pride to salute the National flag. Madam Manager Mrs. R. Bhumra unfurled the national flag and blessed on gathered on the occasion. Madam Principal Mrs. Inderpreet Kaur addressed the staff members and students congratulating them to be fortunate to be born in a free nation. Madam spoke about national values and need to achieve united goals for making India-a nation of progress, peace and prosperity.

A panoramic cultural fiesta was put up by students from class I to IX. The music choir enthralled all with their patriotic presentations. Dance exhibiting patriotism were presented with perfection. An extra ordinary cultural fiesta showcasing the importance of wellness and fitness was put up by students. Skating, Skipping and Yoga based performance emphasised the need of fit youth to contribute in making fit India.

Various competitions on values and principles of father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi were also organized for the day. Anti Kite flying campaign was also done to make students aware that each and every creature of our surroundings needs to be protected and conserved.

All students pledged to be the harbingers of peace, progress and prosperity in our motherland.
