Workshop on Interview Skills

“Polishing Interview Skills to stand out in Interviews”

To face an interview with confidence is the prime objective of every candidate who seeks admission in a degree or diploma course in any professional college or university programs. Keeping this prime requirement of the students in mind, St. Cecilia’s Public School conducted an interactive session on interview skills for students of class XII. The spokes persons for the workshop Mrs. Malkani is an experienced interview panelist for reputed organizations.

The spokesperson talked about subject specific information as the key to success along with the suggestion that the students prepare a secret list of questions that must be prepared well in advance. She told the students that they must think about what are their concerns about interviews and also why do universities invite applicants for interviews. The students ever told that it is natural to feel nervous at an interview. The best way to alleviate anxiety and come across as confident and knowledgeable candidate is to prepare ahead of time and practice.

The students were made aware about various aspects of interview handling through role – play, dramatization, mock interview and talk show. The students were given a listing of some basic questions to ask themselves before preparing for an interview.

The session aimed to give the students a greater understanding of the format and content of potential interviews that they will face after formal education, help them feel more confident and prepare for upcoming interviews for the various undergraduate programs that they apply for in diverse universities. The interactive session provided an opportunity to the students to practice before the day arrives.

The interactive workshop on interview skills helped the students to understand how to approach an interview with increased confidence by putting their interview skills to test in a fun, fact paced environment alongside their peers. The session was an informative and learning experience for all.

Students expressed their gratitude towards Madam Principal for giving them the opportunity to attend the enriching session & polish their skills for the upcoming bigger challenges of life.
