Investiture Ceremony 2017-18

John Quincy Adams has rightly said, ‘In your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are a leader’

St. Cecilia’s Public School swelled with pride on 28th July 2017 the hearts of newly appointed students of Student council, the invited parents and teachers alike – at the Investiture Ceremony 2017-18 of proud duty bound students of St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikaspuri. Chairman Sir Prof. Sewa Singh, Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra, Director Sir Mr. Saroop Singh, Madam Vice Principal graced the solemn ceremony with their presence.  The esteemed guests were given a floral welcome by the co-ordinators and Student Council Convenors.  The cultural fiesta started with a prayer with the desire to bring enlightenment and success.  A dance drama on the need to save environment and a skit on the need of change in behavior, girl child status, equality and cleanliness was presented by the students.  This was followed by the Investiture Ceremony – a formal ceremony of conferring responsibilities on the members of Student Council.

Led by the Heads of Student Council, the members smartly marched into the basement hall.  The badging of the students and appointing sashes was carried out flawlessly.  The oath was administered on the newly appointed council.  It was a moving moment for parents and grandparents indeed.

Chairman Sir, in his address congratulated the students.  He blessed all the members and encouraged them to be just and true to their post in upkeeping the school motto – Education for Knowledge, Wisdom, Character and Courage.  Madam Principal, in her speech applauded the efforts of the students.  She further added that each of the badge holders should align themselves to the school values and vision.
