“Joy of giving campaign brings smiles to the underprivileged and blessings to Cecilian fraternity”

The Cecilian fraternity through the medium of Inter act club insures that every kind gesture reaches out to the community with compassion, benevolence and generosity. The donation drive organized as a part of ‘Joy of Giving Campaign’ commenced the procedures of visiting various organizations for giving donations on 22nd January 2025. The mentioned units were shortlisted and visited by a team of school teachers to ensure that the donations reach the deserving. Students representatives from classes III to XI along with the teacher Incharges visited Maika – an organization helping underprivileged girls and women who are deprived of social support. School donated needful stationary, grocery, daily essential items etc. as requested by them. Students made avisit to Arya Gurukul Tihar Gram Orphanage ; donated 5 Iron racks and set of Kurta Pyjamas for 47 young boys aged between 04-18 years as per their requirement the students further donated groceries on behalf of the school at Matra Chhaya – a childrens home for homeless and abandoned children. Students also visited Akhil Bhartiya Netrahin Sangh (Blind School) where they interacted with the blind inmates and were sensitized about their routine activities. The school donated a water dispenser and required groceries as requested by them.

The visits engaged the Cecilians in lessons of empathy and kindness. On 30th January, the school also donated money to Red Cross Society for helping in the needy . At St. Cecilia’s Public School, holistic approach to all creatures of nature is emphasized on 4th February, students along with Teacher Incharges visited Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre at Raja Garden where the school donated 3 inspecting tables and medicines required by the centre authorities.

 The ‘Joy of Giving Campaign’ brings Cecilian ethos of encompassing community responsibility in the holistic education of students. All express their heartfelt gratitude to Madam Principal for her valuable support and guidance for making Joy of Giving Campaign – a joyful and successful endeavour.
