St. Cecilia’s Public School

St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikaspuri, proudly participated in the Mega Tinkering Day organized by CBSE in collaboration with AIM, NITI Aayog on 12th August 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM via Zoom. The event aimed to promote creativity, innovation, and scientific thinking among young learners through the Atal Tinkering initiative.

Under the able guidance of Madam Principal, twenty enthusiastic students from Classes VII and XI represented the school in this national-level event. The participants, guided by their teachers and ATL mentors, worked collaboratively to design and build an innovative project — a Vacuum Cleaner Prototype using ATL tools and materials. This hands-on project helped students apply the principles of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in a creative way while understanding real-world problem-solving techniques.

Throughout the session, students showcased exceptional teamwork, analytical thinking, and innovative spirit. They explored various design approaches, refined their models, and presented their ideas confidently during the virtual showcase. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for students to interact with mentors and peers from across the country, broadening their horizons and encouraging them to think beyond textbooks.

The Mega Tinkering Day proved to be an inspiring experience that not only strengthened the students’ curiosity and innovation quotient but also aligned perfectly with the vision of Atal Innovation Mission—to nurture future-ready innovators and problem solvers.
