MOCK ELECTIONS REPORT

The Democracy Club of St. Cecilia’s Public School conducted a mock election exercise on Friday, August 8th, 2025, providing students with a hands-on experience of the democratic process. The mock election was designed to educate students about the electoral process, promote civic engagement, and foster leadership skills.

Students of class IX and X acted as voters and were invited to the mock polling booth to cast their votes. Class X students formed and represented different political parties, engaging in canvassing to win votes. Using of Model of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) heightening their excitement and interest in the event.

To enhance the reliability of the experience, students received a mark on their index fingers upon casting their vote. Students gained a deeper understanding of electoral process, including the importance of voting and role of political parties. Class X students developed leadership skills through campaigning and party representation. The election results were announced and winning party was declared. Also, the best journalist and best manifesto was announced in the morning assembly. Certificates and Medals were awarded to the winners.

Madam Principal appreciated the effort of teachers and students for the conduction of mock election in the school.
