St. Cecilia’s Public School successfully hosted the third edition of its flagship event – Cecilian Model United Nations 3.0 – on the 25th and 26th of July 2025. The event brought together over 250 enthusiastic delegates from reputed schools across Delhi NCR to engage in intense debates, public speaking, collaborative writing, and critical thinking around issues of global importance.
The inaugural ceremony, held on 25th July at 9:00 a.m. in the school’s Basement Hall was graced by the benign presence of Worthy Madam Manager, Director Sir, Madam Principal, Academic Advisor Ms. Nishi, and the school Coordinators. The dignitaries lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the auspicious beginning of the event. A cultural extravaganza added charm to the morning with a melodious welcome song and a foot-tapping Western dance performance, leaving the audience thoroughly enthralled. All Executive Board members were formally introduced, and Madam Principal addressed the gathering by highlighting the objectives of the MUN and inspiring the delegates to participate with sincerity and commitment.
The conference then proceeded with deliberations in the following committees: UNCSW, UNSC, UNODC, International Press, UNEP (Junior), AIPPM, and IPL, where students represented countries such as Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, Pakistan, India, Russia, Spain, USA, Indonesia, UK, Bangladesh, Nepal, Belgium and many more. Throughout the conference, Secretariat members, the Organising Committee, and teachers on duty ensured smooth proceedings by guiding and supervising the delegates effectively.
To keep the energy levels high, the delegates were treated to sumptuous breakfast, lunch, and refreshments on both days. A special highlight of the event was the socials, which gave participants an opportunity to interact and build friendships beyond committee walls.These informal interactions encouraged camaraderie among students from diverse schools.
The two-day event culminated with a vibrant closing ceremony. Revered Director Sir, Madam Principal, Academic Advisor, and Coordinators honoured the Executive Board and Secretariat for their valuable contributions. The Organising Committee received appreciation and trophies for their flawless management. Exciting cash prizes, trophies, and certificates were awarded to all deserving winners.
The grand success of Cecilian MUN 3.0 was made possible under the visionary leadership of Madam Principal, whose constant encouragement inspired the team at every step. MUN teacher incharges, the Secretariat and the Organising Committee of students left no stone unturned in ensuring the smooth functioning of the event. Beginning from the designing of the brochure and certificates to registrations and overall management, their coordination was seamless.
The event was a celebration of diplomacy, collaboration, and youth leadership. The corridors of St. Cecilia’s echoed with novel ideas, thought-provoking discussions and spirited participation that will long be remembered.
