St. Cecilia’s Public School

One-Day Trip to Kidzania

Classes III-V

On 05 November 2024, St. Cecilia’s Public School organised an educational one-day trip to Kidzania for students of Classes 3 to 5, under the initiative of Respected Madam Principal. This unique experience aimed to provide students with real-life skills and insights in a playful and engaging environment. The students were excited and curious as they arrived at school earlier than usual and eagerly anticipated a day full of fun and learning.

At Kidzania, students were introduced to the basics of financial transactions, where they learned about the concepts of earning, saving, and spending money. Engaging in simulated activities, they practised basic mathematics and experienced the importance of budgeting in daily life. This interactive approach made complex financial concepts relatable, helping students understand the value of money in a practical way.

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to impersonate various professional roles, including doctors, chefs, firefighters, and more. They engaged in hands-on activities and experienced the responsibilities and challenges of different careers. From making pizzas and donuts to responding to hypothetical emergencies as firefighters, each role provided students with valuable skills and insights into the working world.

The activities also emphasised teamwork and collaboration. Working together in different scenarios allowed the students to improve their communication skills and practice coordination.

Students enjoyed the day and came back with cheerful faces. The trip was immensely fruitful.
