Orientation Programme for Class VI

An orientation programme was conducted for class VI parents on March 24, 2018 in St. Cecilia’s Public School. Ms. Aarti Parab, Middle wing Coordinator started the programme with the school motto: “Education for knowledge, wisdom, character and courage.”
She acquainted the parents regarding the scholastic and co-scholastic activities and also briefed parents about the CBSE exam pattern. She also laid emphasis on subject enrichment activities for different subjects and that speaking English is mandatory for the school children. She encouraged parents that they should promote discipline in their child’s life and children should adhere to social and moral values as “Discipline impacts career shaping and builds ore’s character.” Parents were told about the introduction of third language from VI. All the respective language teachers gave an overview about their subject.
The counseling session was conducted by Ms. Neha Vohra, the school Psychologist. While addressing the parents Ms. Neha gave guidelines about emotions, social and psychological behavior in the child and also promoted good parenting which includes motivation and inspiration.The session was quit informative. Varoius parents related queries were answered and it ended with the note that one must practice the virtue of good and happy life by following patience and tolerance.
