Rashtriya Ekta Diwas – Celebrating the Birth

Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel

On 31st October 2014, St.Cecilia’s Public School joined hands with the Central Board of Secondary Education in the vision of all round development of students. On the occasion of Sardar Patel’s Birth Anniversary, mass Activities involving students of all classes were held. The occasion provided the students an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilence of the nation to widhstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country. A special assembly was conducted by students of classes IX to XII. The students acted as unity, safety and security ambassadors. The students took the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge. After undertaking the pledge students took laps of the sports ground to mark the Run for Unity. The students also participated in mass activities such as making posters, paintings, collage, team debates etc at the mass activity centre. Madam Principal Mrs.R.Bhumra emphasized on the need of unity, Integrity, Safety and Security in today’s world. The programme was concluded with collective singing of the National Anthem. The students were able to appreciate the importance of the synergistic effort leading them to appreciate that in human activities, effect of joint effort is more than sum total of the individual efforts.
