The beautiful morning in St. Cecilia’s Public School started with the celebration of 66th Republic Day in the school.  The celebration was a great event which saw the participation of many students with full enthusiasm and glee.

The function started with the girls singing melodiously on the tunes of Vande Mataram followed by the speech of students conveying the importance of Republic Day celebration in India.  After that our Honourable Principal Madam hoisted the Flag which was followed by the National Anthem.  Class 11th students did March Past as they took the entire round of the ground exhibiting their synchronization & talent.

Principal Madam in her speech reminded the students to be ever grateful to the untiring and huge sacrifices made by our forefathers because of whom we are born today in free India.  She reminded us that it was our duty to prove the dreams and visions of our great leaders for the progressive and positive growth of our nation,  must strive to eradicate negativity from our country.

She further urged the students to watch the Republic Day Parade and be enthused by the daring acts of the children getting bravery awards.  She reminded them to felicitate and salute our brave soldiers guarding the border roads of our country in such unfavourable conditions.

Students present in the assembly took the pledge which was followed by the news and a beautiful patriotic poem.  A class 3 – C girl recited a beautiful patriotic poem in Hindi.  This was followed by a choir song ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon’.

Finally, the middle wing students performed magnificent dance on Rajasthani theme wearing colourful attires.  The dance was simply foot tapping.

The celebration ended on a very happy note with the National Anthem.

SALUTE TO ALL FREEDOM FIGHTERS WHO LAID THEIR LIVES FOR THE COUNTRY
