  ‘Science Week by Scientia Science Club’

Scientia Science Club members of St. Cecilia’s Public School organized a Science Week for students of Classes IV – XII in the first week of May.  The Science Week was inaugurated by Honourable Chairman Prof. Sewa Singh, Guest of Honour Sh. H.K. Pandey, Former E.O., Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra on 2nd May 2015 in the presence of young enthusiastic members, participants and teachers of the Science Department.  The Science exhibition was the show stopper alongwith demonstrations of day of day scientific phenomenon, magic tricks based on scientific facts, documentary film encouraging scientific temperament.  The students created working models and displays that manifested their scientific aptitude and understanding.

The Science Exhibition was conducted for three days.  125 selected models were displayed by students.  Director Mr. Saroop Singh also visited the exhibition and had one to one interaction with the students.  Vice Principal Ma’am Mrs. Inderpreet Kaur congratulated the Science Club President Kriti Ahuja of Class XII and her team members for their efforts.  She also gave her valuable suggestions for further improvements. 

It seemed that the school campus had transformed into a Science Laboratory as each student appeared to be a scientist in the making.  The science week saw its culmination as prize winners were conferred with medals and certificates in a special assembly in the school.  Madam Principal appreciated and applauded the commendable performance of the participants.
