STREAM SELECTION AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT

The school conducted an interactive session on “Stream Selection & Skill Development” for students of Class X on 9 December 2025, facilitated by the resource person, Mr. Nakul Sharma.
The workshop aimed to guide students in making informed decisions about choosing the right academic stream by helping them understand their individual skills, interests, and long-term career goals. The session began with a warm welcome to the resource person. Students were encouraged to reflect on their desired streams and future aspirations.
The resource person emphasized that stream selection should depend on: Individual skills, Subject interest and Long-term career goals. Students received guidance on: Courses available after Class 12, college options in India and how to get admission into good colleges.The session included information on major entrance exams, such as: CUET, IPMAT, JEE, NEET, CLAT. He highlighted several emerging career domains, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Liberal Arts. Students were encouraged to explore diverse opportunities beyond conventional streams.
The session also focused on mistakes students should avoid: Parental pressure, peer influence, mob mentality, inclination only towards traditional careers and making assumptions about job possibilities abroad. Students were encouraged to select a field that matches their skills, strengths, and interests rather than external pressures.
The session also covered skill development and different courses students can opt for. Essential skill areas included: Editing (such as SEO, newspaper editing), Management, Public speaking (e.g., BJMC, Mass Communication) and many more.
Madam Principal’s initiative to conduct such informative sessions in the school help the students gain clarity on stream selection, career planning, and the importance of skill development. The school extends its gratitude to Mr. Nakul Sharma for his valuable guidance.
