“Plantation drive”
Tree Plantation programme was held in St. Cecilia’s Public School on 16th July 2016. The Students of class IX Eco club participated enthusiastically in the programme. Students along with the teacher incharge went to plant sapling in the school premises.
They had planted various types of plants. Such as Jasmine, Ashoka, Money plant, Hibiscus etc. The teacher explained about the importance of trees to the students & the present challenges to our environment like global warming and pollution. Along with planting the saplings, students carries out a rally with banners & posters highlighting the urgency of tree plantation to control pollution and Save Earth.
The purpose is to sensitize the students to improve environmental conditions by encouraging them to help in reducing pollution by planting more & more trees.
