A Day Trip to National Rail Museum

The Pre primary students of classes Nursery and Prep went for a joyful educational field trip to the National Rail Museum along with their teachers and supporting staff on 11.02.25 with absolute safety and security measures. On the day of visit, students assembled in the school in the morning and boarded the comfortable buses after a head count and briefing by the teachers. The National Rail Museum, New Delhi represents the splendid of more than 166 years of rich heritage of Indian Railway sprawling in over 11 acres of land emulating the setting of a railway yard to the tiny tots.
The students were amazed to see the extensive outdoor gallery houses, a variety of steam, diesel and electric locomotives along with a fascinating collection of royal saloons, wagons, carriages, armored trains, rail cars and a turntable along with Interactive displays and models exhibited inside. The indoor gallery enthralled students and they saw a display of remarkable stories related to early modes of transportation to date and future endeavors in Indian Railways. They also witnessed some remarkable collections of historical photographs, documents, railway artifacts, static exhibits, antiquated items and old furniture.
The students enjoyed the major attraction of the museum that is the Joy Train as it offered the riders a glance at the various live locomotives on display. Students enjoyed riding the Joy Train through the museum. It was a lot of fun and students loved it to the core.Time moved swiftly onward and the students had to board the buses to come back for the school, much against their wishes. The visit proved to be an experiential learning for the students. The happy students and gleeful parents expressed their gratitude to Madam Principal for organizing such a wonderful day trip for the little ones.
