‘Workshop on Vedic Mathematics’
St. Cecilia’s Public School in hands with Pratham, IIFM organized a workshop on Vedic Maths for students of class XII both Science and Commerce stream on 6th August 2015. The objective of the workshop was to make maths more interesting and exciting for the students. The workshop spokesperson Ms. Vidhi from ‘Pratham’ ensured active engagement of all students. She taught tricks, moves and games in multiplication. The techniques were given to students to find cube roots and square roots as fast in 3 seconds. The students were very attentive and alert in the proceedings of the workshop. At the close of the workshop, a test booklet was given to the students. The students were able to complete the task in the stipulated time. The workshop was highly motivating as it showed the students an alternate way to calculate faster.
