Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week – 2015

St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikas Puri observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 26th October to   31st      October 2015 at the school campus. The theme of the Vigilance Awareness Week this year was “Preventive Vigilance as a tool of good  governance” to create awareness about the role of preventive vigilance in combating corruption and enhancing accountability at various levels.

Various activities were organized for students of class IX-XII as per guidelines

from the Central Vigilance Commission, an apex integrity institution of the country in its endeavour to promote transparency, probity and integrity. An Elocution competition on “citizens” Right to Good governance” was organized for classes IX AND X. Street play on “Citizen Participation for Preventive Vigilance’ was also presented by class IX AND X students to encourage the fight against corruption. A Debate competition on ‘Preventive Vigilance’ sin-quo-non for Equitable Growth” was also conduced. The participants exhibited a marvellous display of oratory skills. An essay writing competition on ‘RTI Act a deterrent to corruption’ was successfully organized for class XI-XII Students. The school whole hearted joined the movement of creating awareness among students regarding corruption as a social evil.

Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra and Madam Vice Principal Mrs. Inderpreet Kaur honoured the prize winners of all competitions with medals and certificates. Madam Principal encouraged all the students to become vigilant responsible citizens of India in the future. All the events witnessed large scale participation from students with full enthusiasm and vigour.
