Capacity Building Programme
National Curriculum Framework for school education 2023
On 29th August 2026, a Capacity Building Programme on the topic ‘National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023’ was conducted under the guidance of CBSE to orient teachers towards the vision and principles of the new framework and to empower them for its effective implementation in classrooms.
The session was facilitated by distinguished resource persons Dr. Rohit Mehra from St. Xavier’s World School, Sardhana, Meerut and Ms. Neetu Jhatta from Wishwood Cottage School. With their rich academic experience and clarity of perspective, they provided meaningful insights into the transformative aspects of NCF-SE 2023. The programme focused on aligning school pedagogy with the recommendations of NEP 2020 and redesigning teaching-learning for holistic development of students.
The resource persons elaborated on the core objectives of NCF-SE 2023, emphasizing inclusivity of all learners, inculcation of constitutional values and development of 21st century skills among students. They highlighted the shift from content-based learning to a learner-centric, competency-based approach that nurtures social and emotional development. Special emphasis was laid on the concept of ‘Panchakosha Vikas’ – the five-fold development of annamaya, pranamaya, manomaya, vijnanamaya and anandamaya kosha – as the foundation of holistic education.
The session also dwelt upon curriculum restructuring, innovative lesson planning, integration of arts and sports, multidisciplinary learning, and meaningful technology integration to make learning more engaging and experiential. The importance of formative assessment and creating joyful learning experiences was effectively discussed.
A key highlight was an interactive session on monotony breakers through music and songs. The resource persons demonstrated how musical energizers can revitalize classroom learning, sustain engagement and create a joyful, relaxed and stress-free atmosphere. The workshop underscored the role of teachers as facilitators in fostering a value-based, inclusive and future-ready learning environment in tune with the ethos of NCF-SE 2023.
Teachers expressed heartfelt gratitude to Madam Principal for providing them with an opportunity to attend such an enlightening and enriching session, which significantly enhanced their preparedness to implement the National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023 in its true spirit.
