Diwali Celebration

St. Cecilia’s Public School radiated festive fervour as both the Senior and Junior Wings celebrated Diwali with immense enthusiasm and splendour on 17 October 2025. The special assembly, organised by the Eco Club, was graced by Madam Principal, the Academic Advisor, Coordinators, teachers, and students.

The celebration commenced with a soulful Ganesh Vandana, invoking divine blessings for wisdom and prosperity. The cultural performances that followed truly reflected the spirit of Diwali — joy, togetherness, and cultural pride. Students adorned in vibrant traditional costumes performed graceful classical dances, and the dramatisation of Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya enthralled the audience with its expressive presentation and aesthetic charm.

The Primary Wing students showcased an insightful presentation titled “From Darkness to Light – Diwali in Different Forms,” highlighting the diversity of traditions and rituals through which Diwali is celebrated across India. Their presentation beautifully conveyed the universal message of the festival — the triumph of light over darkness and the spreading of love, harmony, and joy.

Madam Principal in her inspiring address extended heartfelt Diwali greetings to all and encouraged the students to illuminate their lives not only with lamps and festivities but also with knowledge, wisdom, and noble character. Her visionary guidance and commitment to holistic education continue to inspire the school community to blend cultural richness with moral values in every celebration. The Eco Club further strengthened this message by organising an Anti-Cracker Rally, urging everyone to celebrate an eco-friendly and responsible Diwali.

Following the assembly, students channelled their creativity by decorating classrooms with handmade crafts, colourful lanterns, and artistic portraits of Lord Ganesha, transforming the school into a spectacular display of artistry and festive cheer.

The celebration concluded on a joyful note, filling every heart with warmth, positivity, and the true essence of Diwali — spreading light within and around.
