St. Cecilia’s Public School celebrated the auspicious occasion of Dussehra with a vibrant and spiritually uplifting special assembly on 16 October 2026. The celebration beautifully blended devotion and cultural expression, reminding everyone of the timeless triumph of good over evil.

The programme was attended by the gracious presence of Worthy Madam Principal, Academic Advisors and Coordinators. It commenced with the soulful rendition of devotional bhajans, accompanied by the melodious strains of guitars and the rhythmic beats of a clap box. The heartfelt performance created an atmosphere of serenity and devotion. This was followed by a captivating solo performance by a talented student, showcasing the graceful Pallavi Odissi dance form. A thought-provoking skit on Modern-Day Dussehra encouraged the audience to reflect upon the inner Ravana that resides within each of us, highlighting the importance of conquering negative traits such as ego, greed, anger and dishonesty.

The celebration gained further momentum with a series of mesmerising dance performances, including the colourful and energetic Dandiya dance, which brought alive the festive spirit of the occasion. The programme culminated in a powerful rendition of Devi Stuti, leaving the audience spellbound and filling the atmosphere with reverence and divine fervour.

Addressing the gathering, Madam Principal emphasised the significance of standing by the truth and upholding righteousness, while exercising discernment to navigate the complexities of the modern world with integrity. Ma’am extended her heartfelt wishes to everyone for a happy and blessed Dussehra.
