Public outreach programme: E-Pledge against drugs

Eco Club of St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikaspuri in compliance with the circular by CBSE and in association with NCB, organized a ‘Public outreach Programme – e pledge against Drugs’ in the second week of January, 2022. The Department of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is the premier Drug law enforcement agency of the country and has been tirelessly working to free our country from the clutches of drug menace. It is also entrusted with the responsibility of spreading awareness against the ill effects of drugs. It was perceived by the organization that the fight against drugs will only be successful if there is participation of each individual. Eco Club came out in full support of the organization for this noble inevitable endeavor. To achieve the aforesaid goal, students were encouraged to take an e – pledge titled “Say yes to life, No to Drugs” uploaded on the website www.mygov.in The main aim of the pledge was to spread the message of ill effects of drugs among the citizens and to strengthen the resolve in making India a drugs free nation. Stepwise details of accessing the website/ link and to take the e-pledge along with generation of digital certificate were provided to the students. All the students were requested to take the e-pledge by 15th January, 2022 and be part of this mass movement against drugs. This programme not only spread the awareness against drug menace but also initiated in saving our present and future generations from the clutches of drugs. Students actively participated in this public outreach programme and sent their Digital Certificates of participation to their Class teachers. Madam Principal, Madam Co-ordinators and all the teachers actively motivated the students for participation in the same and stressed on the importance of this campaign.
