Nurturing Empathy: Joy of Giving Campaign

On 9 February 2026, the Interact Club organised a donation drive under the Joy of Giving Campaign, aimed at reaching out to the underprivileged and reinforcing the spirit of service and social responsibility. The initiative was generously supported through the funds raised during the Winter Carnival organised earlier by the Club, exemplifying purposeful student-led action.

Students from Classes III to XI participated with commendable enthusiasm and sensitivity in this noble endeavour. The drive was envisioned not merely as an exercise in material distribution but as an opportunity to instil empathy, compassion, and a sense of civic duty among students through direct community interaction.

As part of the outreach programme, students visited several charitable institutions, including Rashtriya Virjanand Andh Kanya Vidyalaya (Vikaspuri), Seva Bharti Matrichhaya (Paschim Vihar), Don Bosco Ashalayam (Palam Village, Dwarka), and an Old Age Home in the neighbourhood. Essential provisions such as ration supplies, toiletries, baby and adult diapers, along with other daily-use items, were distributed to the beneficiaries to address their immediate needs.

In addition to material assistance, students devoted time in meaningful interactions with the residents. They engaged the elderly in thoughtful conversations, listening with empathy to their life experiences and concerns. For the children, recreational activities and interactive sessions were organised, fostering an atmosphere of warmth, joy, and companionship.

The programme emerged as a profoundly enriching experience for all involved. It reinforced the core values of kindness, generosity, and social accountability, leaving a lasting impression on the young minds and motivating them to contribute positively to society.

The Interact Club expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Madam Principal for their unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement, which played a pivotal role in the successful execution of this commendable initiative.
