‘Majhi Vasundhara’ - My Planet
Plant Trees – Save Mother Earth
Green Campus – Eco Club Plantation Drive 2024

In nature, green is not just a color, but a promise of life and growth The green of nature is a symphony of hues, a tapestry of life that sings with vitality and beauty.

The Eco Club of St Cecilia’s Public School organized a Green Plantation Drive to spread the message of sustaining the greenery in the environment. Student volunteers  from Primary, Middle and Senior wing were asked to plant saplings not only in the school campus but also near their houses or in their neighbourhood parks.  More than 50 student volunteers participated in the green plantation activity on an individual basis. The objective to create awareness about “Plant Tree – Save Planet” was beautifully accomplished as the students received encouragement from the benign presence of Madam Principal, Coordinators and Eco Club Incharges. The message of green plantation and its aims to save the environment, afforestation and make the surrounding clean and green through a major Plantation Activities was spread through posters, slogans, rally and planting of various saplings in the school campus. Student volunteers also expressed gratitude to the school gardeners for their noteworthy contribution to help maintain a lush green school campus. The students made the placards spreading the message to plant trees, save trees and protect our mother earth so that the capital would never experience a scorching temperature of 52 degrees Celsius as it did in the year 2024.

The student volunteers felt motivated and appreciated as Madam Principal said that it was a great feeling to Re-bond with Mother nature.  Madam expressed her happiness as students learnt that they can serve Mother nature which provides us all the resources with small yet purposeful actions.

The positive response, support and guidance of Madam Principal motivated the students to shoulder the responsibility as well as to take initiative to protect our ecosystem. The students pledged to plant saplings to make Delhi cooler. The participation in the tree plantation drive by the students has been a step to carry forward the legacy of our school to contribute to our community.
