St. Cecilia's Public School
Educational Visit to the National Science Centre, Delhi
St. Cecilia’s Public School organised an educational excursion to the National Science Centre, Delhi, on 23 October 2026, providing the students of Class VI with a valuable opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world scientific experiences as they explored the fascinating world of science through interactive exhibits, audiovisual presentations, and live demonstrations.
One of the major attractions was the 3D show, Jungle Safari, which offered students an immersive visual experience, bringing the wonders of the natural world closer to them. They also witnessed the Knowledge on Sphere (KOS) presentation, in which an illuminated three-dimensional sphere displayed engaging visuals of the Earth and various scientific phenomena. The captivating presentation helped them explore scientific concepts in a more interactive and visually stimulating way, making the experience both informative and memorable.
The students also had a wonderful time exploring the interactive exhibits in the Fun Science Gallery. From navigating the Mirror Maze and experiencing the intriguing Head on a Platter illusion to trying out various other fascinating activities, they were filled with curiosity and excitement.
The Centre's general galleries were another highlight of the visit that featured a variety of exhibits explaining scientific principles and their practical applications. Students also explored the prehistoric cave displays and demonstrations, which introduced them to prehistoric life and offered glimpses into the world of early humans.
An equally enriching experience was the auditorium session, where students witnessed live science experiments demonstrating the application of scientific principles in real-life situations. These demonstrations encouraged them to observe closely, think critically, and appreciate how scientific concepts are connected to everyday experiences. Refreshments were also provided to the students during the visit.
The excursion proved to be an informative and enjoyable experience, combining observation, exploration, and practical learning. It helped nurture scientific curiosity among the students and broaden their understanding beyond textbooks.
The students were delighted as they returned to school and conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Madam Principal for providing them with this valuable opportunity to learn through exploration and experience.
