29th–30th April
St. Cecilia’s Public School proudly hosted its much-anticipated Inter-School Competition, Odyssey 2026, on 29th and 30th April, bringing together young talent from various institutions in a vibrant celebration of creativity, intellect, and skill.
The two-day event commenced with an auspicious Opening Ceremony on 29th April, graced by esteemed dignitaries including the Honourable Director Sir, Madam Principal, Academic Advisor Sir, Academic Advisor Ma’am, and the Coordinators. Teacher in-charges and participating students from various schools were also present, adding to the grandeur of the occasion. The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp accompanied by sacred shloka recitation, followed by Ram Stuti, invoking divine blessings. The cultural segment featured a soulful motivational song and an energetic folk dance performance, setting an inspiring tone for the event.
Madam Principal formally welcomed the gathering and encouraged all participants to showcase their talents with confidence and enthusiasm. The Convenor of the event addressed the audience, reflecting on the rich and successful legacy of Odyssey. The Honourable Director Sir then declared the event open, extending his best wishes to all participants.
The competitions commenced across various venues, conducted with precision and enthusiasm. On 29th April, students from Classes I to V, along with Classes VIII, IX, and X, participated in a range of thoughtfully curated events. On 30th April, competitions were held for Classes VI to VIII and XI–XII. A diverse array of unique and engaging competitions such as Twirl & Swirl, Dearest Dessert, I Am Vlogger, Echoes of Laughter, Checkmate Clash and Book to Screen Adaptation, etc provided a platform for students to exhibit their multifaceted talents. The seamless execution of the event was ensured by the dedicated efforts of teachers and student volunteers, who managed all proceedings in a highly organized manner.
The Closing Ceremony was graced by the Worthy Madam Manager, along with other distinguished dignitaries. The ceremony celebrated excellence as deserving winners were felicitated with trophies and certificates. It is noteworthy that while the host school actively participated in all competitions, it gracefully abstained from competing for the rolling trophy.
Over the course of two days, more than 700 students immersed themselves in enriching experiences, applauding each other’s performances and celebrating the spirit of healthy competition. The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks presented by the Senior Coordinator, marking the culmination of a successful and memorable journey.
