Educational Visit to The Oberoi, New Delhi

As part of its commitment to providing experiential learning opportunities, St. Cecilia's Public School, Vikaspuri organised an educational visit to The Oberoi, New Delhi on 4 August 2026 for 15 students of Class XII, accompanied by a teacher.

The visit was designed to acquaint students with the dynamic hospitality industry and offer first-hand exposure to the operations of a world-class luxury hotel. Guided by the hotel's Human Resources and Operations teams, students explored key departments, including the Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Services, Kitchen Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Events. The interactive sessions highlighted the significance of communication, professional grooming, teamwork, time management, creativity, discipline, and customer-centric service in the hospitality sector.

A special interaction with the Human Resources team introduced students to The Oberoi Group's STEP (Systematic Training and Education Programme), an undergraduate hospitality programme that combines academic learning with practical industry exposure. The session also provided valuable insights into career pathways and the professional competencies required to excel in the field.

Students enthusiastically engaged in a question-and-answer session, gaining clarity on various aspects of hospitality management.

The visit concluded with lunch hosted by the hotel, leaving students inspired by the exceptional standards of excellence, professionalism, and service that define The Oberoi. Madam Principal was delighted that the visit benefitted students towards broadening their career awareness and industry exposure.
