St.Cecilia’s Public School
Visit to Yashobhoomi
On 18th April 2026, 40 students from St. Cecilia’s Public School embarked on an educational excursion to Yashobhoomi, India’s premier convention centre in Dwarka, to attend the NAV prabha event. More than an architectural marvel, Yashobhoomi serves as a dynamic learning space where trade fairs, expositions and cultural events transform theoretical concepts into experiential learning.
The programme commenced with the rendition of the national anthems of Sri Lanka and India, followed by a captivating cultural presentation.
The District Governor then addressed the gathering and was followed by Chief Guest Mr. K.R. Ravindram, Past Rotary Club President, who engaged the students with his valuable insights and mentioned the four cardinal principles for building a meaningful life:Discipline, Integrity, Resilience and Humility. He further emphasized that individual character, anchored in discipline, becomes the cornerstone for societal betterment.
The second guest of honor, Mr. Ashneer Grover, MD of Bharatpe and a renowned entrepreneur, participated in an interactive session with four Interact Club presidents from different schools. While responding to students’ queries, he dispelled the stereotype that wealth leads to negative habits and instead highlighted the dignity of labour, encouraging students to value honest effort and enterprise.
Dr. Subramanian then addressed the young audience, sharing his perspective on the future of India’s youth. Speaking to aspiring startup founders and entrepreneurs, he stressed that resilience and creativity are indispensable for success. He concluded with the powerful quote, “One child, one teacher, one pen, one book can change the world.” This was followed by the award ceremony.
The final speaker, Mr. Ankur Warikoo, inspired the students with his own life story. He recounted his early dream of becoming a NASA scientist, followed by his desire to pursue an MBA, and finally his eventual path to entrepreneurship at the age of 29 as a partner in a friend’s start-up. Reflecting on his experiences, he concluded that success belongs not merely to the brave, hardworking or intelligent, but to the courageous — those who stand up to act.
Students expressed gratitude to Madam Principal for offering them such a meaningful platform. The wisdom shared by distinguished leaders reinforced the values of discipline, resilience and courage, while the interactive session made learning vivid and impactful. The event truly exemplified how real-world experiences complement classroom education in shaping responsible, visionary youth.
